Not exactly a deep water fish but a bottom-dwelling fish famous for its large, colorful, wing-like pectoral fins. I just found the colors too delightful to pass up. Despite its name this fish doesn’t fly - it walks along the sandy or muddy ocean floor. Its “wings” are actually a defense mechanism - flashing them open can make them look larger and startle predators.

The color way is made up of bright speckles in blues and greens and gentle speckles of charcoal gray
